True equipment chasm...
« on: September 06, 2006, 08:27:29 AM »
Last night was the first night of league.
I've switched to 14# equipment, and just picked up 2 bowling balls in the last week - a RotoGrip Saturn and a Slay/R.

The Saturn is a very strong ball - far more than I thought...
The Slay/R is a fantastic ball - but not for oil.

First night of league - Saturn - way too much.
Slay/R - just couldn't quite get enough to get to the pocket with any oomph...

I've been in the position where I didn't have the right ball in my hand to carry before - but I've not been in the position I was in last night... It's painful, to say the least.

One more ball. Just one. Then I'll be ready for the coming season...

How about a Red Zone?

ive seen them in action, very sweet ball.

if you're going cheap, maybe a Zone Classic on ebay?

You've got a point - but...

Two things about the ball I won.
1. It isn't here yet.
2. According to my driller, it could be too condition specific for my game. I'll probably sit on it for a while before we drill it.
