Left knee pain
« on: November 19, 2007, 04:29:18 AM »
I am having a lot of pain in my left knee. Being a right hander this is my sliding foot. Its causing me to pop up at the foul line and have horrid balance (since im favoring the pain). Anyone else having some issues like this? What could help. Thanks.

Rick,

My aunt, about 82 year sold, was advised to stop taking Celebrex for her pain because there was some concern about its causing heart problems and heart attacks. I had heard about that 3 - 4 years ago myself. Please check it out, is all I can offer. I do not know if there is a definite relationship or not, but better safe than sorry.

hey guys. i have alot of problems with my knees, gone threw it 10 yrs, found out just recently its cartlidge damage and rhumatoid arthritis,  was told to take arthetec pills twice a day with food its a antiimflammatory  pill, first couple shots i throw im ok, but then its like a switch is flipped and im just about on the floor in pain, which sucks cause im only 23,  i talked to the proshop and just bought a good pair of shoes, rubber sole on the one and slidder on the other,  and changed the slidder to slid a little more, and i bowled 5 games tonight no problem,  so  try some motrin and better pair shoes  might help, i know it helped me,  i even slowed up my approch all that seemed to help a ton,  thanks

The relationship between heart attacks and Celebrex is well documented.  It
was temporarily recalled.  It was reinvestigated and due to its effectiveness
against certain types of arthritis was put back on the market.  You need to
have a discussion with your physician before taking it.
