As far as number of balls, I would say 2-3 a year. It depends on if I find something that I really like. THis past year I bet that I bought 12 total, but gave away the ones that did not seem to work for me.

I carried a 218 or 219 I think in both my leagues last winter. This winter, I'm averaging I think 231 in one league after 3 weeks on a ridiculously easy walled up shot, and I'm bowling terrible in the other (can't figure out the goofy second-shift shot to save my life) and only averaging around 200 after 3 weeks. I'll get it figured out soon though and bring it back up.

181/188 sport/PBA
That last league switched from a sport league to a PBA league mid-year. I averaged 188 for the second half on the PBA patterns. They were not as difficult as the earlier sport patterns.
My goals for this year are 225 THS and 195 PBA.

My first night average was a 208. Then the next week I only average a 108
So I think my current average is 195.
