Whats your highest score with Spare Ball?
« on: June 11, 2008, 06:07:53 PM »
The lanes were completely burnt out when i bowled earlier so I decided to bowl with my plasitc spare ball (Columbia White Dot). Suprisingly, it hooked a little and I ended my final two games of 216 and 240, my highest ever. Who says you need a aggressive reactive ball? =P

there was a guy at my house, who threw his spareball the entire time during league, and for the season ended up averaging 245

I shot a lucky 245 with my White Dot one time, just some lucky carry. I've rarely run into conditions that I couldn't just move in and adjust my release and use something weaker, though I don't mind using my plastic to play more direct if i'm struggling.

Through the face on the 12th, left the big 4. Open bowling though, lol.

I am bowling this challenge league..using all the PBA patterns...Having my tendinitis acting up...I decided to use my 12lbs green brunswick polyester spare ball (yes it's a 12LBS. ball)..on the shark pattern: 210-189-233, following week on scorpion shot 210-167-245, last week on the chameleon shot 211-206-177.

Throw my ball straight up the 7 board...and all the 3rd games I threw it inside 3rd arrow from the lefty side...I am really dumbfounded..why can't I score like this with my regular balls...I only average 180.

A couple of 300s with my white dot, many many 700s and a few tournament victories where i threw a plastic ball for strikes all the way through. Boy do people love to lose in match play to a white dot.

I also threw 19 in a row in practice with my Spiral viz-a-ball

gotta love plastic every once in awhile!
