Title: Whats your highest total after 2 games of league when failing to shoot 800

I had this happen to me tonight. 279,300 then we switch pairs and they were knowhere near the first pair and shoot a whopping 159. I also have been at 578 after two and switched pairs and failed to shoot an 800 a few years back. Any one else have any similar stories they would like to share?

On a side note the first two games i used the Ebonite warrior. The ball looks great and performs even better

I think my high would be somewhere around 540

Yea I think my high is around 540 but this reminds of the time the guy I knew who shot a 199 300 300 to shoot a 799 !!!! He was disgusted that he miss a ten pin on his first game.

I have gone 279 279 186 with urethane on modified house. At least we swept.

not me but a guy at a house around me went 300 300 188. i personally have went 300 279 178

Had 287 and 266 for 553 after 2. Left too many 7 pins in the 3rd game and could only shoot 204.

I've opened 285,280= 565 didn't hit it.  299, 279= 578 didn't hit it (212 for a 790) Those have been my worst where I didn't even have to shoot average to get it and blown it.  I've thrown two total and could have had quite a few more if I didn't choke them out.

i think my highest was 562 came up SHORT. this past year i shot 3 800 but had 10 or 12 sets in the 790s that i blew. one week i was late and missed the first game then came in and went 279,258 lol. i shot like 755 with a blind game

A guy in our Monday night league went the first 26 in a row, but shot 188 the last game.  300-300-188 -788

Wow, good question.  I am not sure I even remember my highest 2 game total, let alone whether I cracked 800.  I think I had 566 or 567, but don't remember whether I cracked 800 on that set.  I do remember shooting a 793 with a yellow dot many years ago, seems like I had about 540 going in.  I also remember shooting about 796 with a urethane Rhino where I needed to stay clean in the tenth for 800, but threw a bad count shot.

I had a few this year, 558 and 556 and failed on both. 780 was my high.

518 or me. 239+279. Went back to back 279s for 797.

EDIT: This is not right, as I know I've turned the corner higher than 520 before. The 239 was my last game.

299-300-193.  Between the nerves and not wanting to move I absolutely killed myself the last game.

564 after 2.... Then completely checked out with a 136. 700 on the nose, most disappointing 700 in my life

The last game I had the front 5, I got excited and feeling relaxed. I just couldn't miss....But then, the next 5 frames I left a corner pin - 10 pin 4x and a 7 pin. last ball brooklyn..lol

Saturday, July 4th, I went 266, 278, 240 for the first three games of a 6 gamer.

Highest 2 game start I've ever had is 535, which obviously is not quite that high and a long shot at reaching 800.

Also, this year I had 5 series with 2 game starts at or over 500, theoretically giving me a chance at 800....and did not seal the deal in any of them.  Bummer.

in my league this morning first game had front 10 then split for

My highest total for the first 2 games was 510: 279-231. So I needed a telescope to see 800. I finished with 205 for 715.

Luckily, I have been able to reach 800 13 times...but I do have a 589 and 2 579's after 2 where I didn't reach 800. All 3 times, just lost carry. Couldn't not carry the first 2 games and then left 10 pin after 10 pin the last game each time. I shot over 200 each time, just not high enough to reach 800.

Well I just started this thread with my mishap last week didn't think I would be coming back so soon. 538 after two last night. Change pairs shoot 180. Still better third game than last week!

579.  A female friend of mine back in youth went 300-290-180 though . .
