ProAM Experience
« on: January 05, 2008, 01:59:44 PM »
This has been an awesome few days and the ProAm was a perfect finish.

I was put on a pair with a group who were definitely there to have fun.  We had to be one of the louder/rowdier groups.  The Pros went right along with us, especially Curtis Woods & Tommy Delutz.  We also bowled with Jason Wojner, Mike Edwards, Dave D'Entremont, and Steve Rogers.

Curtis was our last Pro and Mike Scroggins was on the pair next to us.  It was hillarious listening to Curtis give Mike a had time.  He made a comment about how ugly he was and that his twin bother must have gotten all the looks.  Mike just looked at him and laughed.

As for bowling, this was my best showing out of the 7 o so PBA ProAms I've bowled.  I decided since I was flying and the weather wasn't supposed to be the best I was only taking 2 balls.  On the advisement of a friend amd my coach, I took the Black Widow and my Blue Dot.  Their advice was great.

I shot 248 - 205 - 216 = 669 scratch and 831 with hdcp.  I am very pleased, especially since I only had 2 NoTap stikes the first game and another 2 game 2.  I think I had a few more in game 3.  I had only 2 opens a 4-7 and a 4-7-10.

I can't wait for Fountain Bowl and Red Rock Lanes.  Red Rock will be a blast, I have several friends making the trip also.

Now to be able to get home tomorrow - as long as the flight isn't cancelled all will be good!
