Downlane Projection

I recently transitioned from being a speed dominate bowler to a rev dominate bowler, and running into a new issue with my game that I continue to struggle with. I do great game 1, however on the transition I keep moving left and left however the ball keeps overreacting. I usually get to the point of starting my feet beyond board 30+, I do move my target in down-lane as well. I just can’t keep the ball from overacting when I get it to the friction point and end up leaving splits. Meanwhile I seem people who don’t have to move all night and they still play up 10. I know I need to work on projecting the ball further down the lane, what tips you would have for doing that. I have heard from moving my eyes further down the lane to getting lower in stance at the line.

I used to move my eyes/target farther down lane. Once that became insufficient, I took hand out of the ball. Now I start with minimum hand and it have to move a lot less now. I have a bad slide knee which caused me to switch it up. I just don't want to throw the deeper angles right now, it hurts my knee while bowling. The next day, I can barely walk.

I will say, I probably will stay this way even once my knee is better. Seems to be easier for me to stay consistent.

For me, i really have to focus on staying down and staying through the ball. In my mind I'm pretty much pushing the ball out of my hand to the target. This has also helped me a lot with shooting all single pin spares straight

It may be how you ate generating your new found rev.  Revs are portent. But if you are hitting up on the ball to generate them you be I'll get exactly the kind of overreaction you have described.

thank you all, it gives me something to think about. One of my buddies suggested I get my PAP rechecked as well.

Update:

I had my PSO check my PAP, turns out I pretty much have zero tilt. The zero tilt is what is causing me to struggle as I move everything in. I wear a hand brace and we adjusted that, and wow what a difference it is making. I just bowled in a tournament this weekend, and it called for playing very deep and I had no issues with having tilt now.

Did you drop your ball speed to become more rev dominate? Or did you acquire some more revs?

Its a bit of a combination of a lot of little things that I have been working on that all added up for my increased rev rate 1) working on my timing 2) changed my finger inserts  from a 5 to 4.5 on my middle finger and from  a 3 to a 2 on the ring finger 3) 1/8 forward  in my thumb pitch. This biggest thing I noticed is when I dropped my inserts size, and thumb pitch I could actually relax my hand and stopped squeezing.
