I've not had much luck on the bowling sites selling equipment. maybe it's gotten to the point you can't? I've actually had someone offer my 10 bucks shipped for a asking price of 50 shipped on a newer release.

Craigslist works better than anything else, but it's hit and miss.
I tend to just give mine away if I never intend to use them again. I give a lot of mine to my pro shop. He will plug them and then offer them for sale for the cost of drilling and materials.

Same here. The goodwill I get by giving them back to my proshop guy for his personal resale is worth more than the few bucks I'd get on the open market.

Give them to your junior bowling clubs or leave em on the rack at the bowling center. Somebody going take em. 8)

Now we all know I not gonna sell much of the Motiv stuff! I do have a Venom Panic I would be willing to unload pretty cheap though.

Actually, I've been thinking about selling off most of my non-Motiv stuff. I have quite a lot of "gems"
Of the top of my head, I have, all in 15 lbs.
Storm:
two VG Nano solids, three VB Nano Pearls, a IQ Tour Fusion, a Sync, a Modern Marvel, a Marvel Pearl, a Anarchy, a 2009 Hy-Road, and a Trifecta.
Rotogrip:
Original Cell, Cell Pearl, a couple of Wreckers, Hyper Cell Skid, probably a few others I'm not thinking of right now.
Hammer:
Original Blue Vibe, Purple Sparkel Vibe, Cherry Vibe, Emerald Vibe, Onyx Vibe, Midnight Vibe, Cobalt Vibe, Grape Vibe, and all of the Bowlers Mart special pour Vibes each with the 060 serial number.
Various Columbia 300 balls and a few Global 900s, some Seismic and a Lane Masters or two.
I have a ton of Motiv stuff, including two of the very hard to find TZ3's.
Not to mention a nice collection of clear spare balls like the Track Flaming T, Hammer Everclear, Hammer Cube, Hammer Clear Gasmask, two different versions of the Team Storm Belmo ball, the Ice and Blood Diamonds from Lane #1
....and a Partridge in a Pear tree!!!!! 8)

Nothing listed has been drilled. 99% of them have the original box too. All are 15#, most are close to 15.3

CL has worked for me. And the good part is no shipping, ebay fees, Paypal fees. Just meet somewhere and they give you cash.
But if you live a rural area, or will be driving though one in the near future, it's amazing what a properly timed bowling ball out your car window will do to a mailbox...or a road sign...not that I personally have any experience with this of course...

When I decide to get rid of an old ball that I don't use anymore, I just put in in the ball rack at one of the alleys.
Just like what others around here do.
Seen a few Hammers there, a Widow ball was there at a point.
A few Storm balls are there.
One Track ball, as far as I know.
Some Brunswick. I left a Slingshot there. Someone picked it up and made some tweaks to the holes, but put it back.
Might leave the Sinister there soon.
So if any of you ever come to my hometown, Bergen, Norway. Visit that alley. Called Bowling 1 Sandsli.

When you leave an old ball on the rack, do you leave it there for someone to take for their own use? I have over the years seen many "name balls " on the rack wondering if someone would be considered a theif if they grabbed it. Good for you guys though that can leave a ball there for somebody to use.

I usually sell or give my older used balls to friends. If I have one no one wants, then since I bowl on a military installation, I will look for an open bowler to give a ball to.
I have left some on the ball racks in the past - they disappear fast, because I will go and look to see if they are still around after a couple of weeks and I can't find them. :)

They would have to have tax exempt status, your local juniors program probably isn't a qualified organization.

I've tossed a couple in the trash and have given a couple to friends, but usually I will leave them on the ball racks at the alley if they are in decent shape. Lot of name balls on the racks where I bowl, so obviously others are leaving them also.

I sold 22 balls within 2 years? I sold more than half locally and surrounding cities outside of sac town. I spread the word through "networking" lol. And going to leagues that friends of mine were in and talking to those bowlers. I just had to do the work.. posting on social media and online sales is like casting your fishing rod/line/hook waiting for a bite. I don't fish like that!! I'm from the islands, I spear fish!! I go into the water and look for fish! lol

My son is a Freshman on the team this year (Varsity!) and I've already donated 3 balls to the team. I gave the coach a list of what I had and told him if anyone on the team doesn't have one and wants one, they are welcome to it.
Other than that, various facebook groups. Although for used stuff, I find myself trading more than selling these days.
