Which companies own which companies?
« on: January 04, 2004, 03:53:10 AM »
Does anyone out there really know which companies own which companies(ex: Storm owns Dyno-thane, Columbia owns AMF)?
Any and help would be greatly appreciated.

Columbia don't own AMF,  they are like Ebonite and Hammer, there is a license agreement that allows Columbia to make the AMF balls, put in placelast May).  Columbia also makes Track and (I think) all of the coverstocks for MoRich.  And of course, Ebonite manufactures Hammer.

I am pretty sure that
Columbia owns Track owns Nu-Line.
Ebonite owns Hammer.
Storm owns Roto-Grip.
Lanemasters owns AZO.
Brunswick owns (or owned) Revolution. (Not sure if they're still in business)

Columbia does not own AMF.
I believe technically Columbia now designs, manufactures and markets AMF's bowling ball and supply business, via a business to business contract.
Columbia does not own Morich.
Storm does not own Dyno-Thane.
Brunswick does not own Lane#1.

Lane#1, MoRich, Dyno-Thane, Neo-Tac and Visionary are independent operations.

AZO and Visionary actually have their own bowling ball manufacturing plants.
Columbia, Brunswick, Ebonite and Storm manufacture every other ball, according to th especs provided by their contracting companies.

Columbia makes/markets AMF.
Columbia owns/makes Track.
Columbia makes Nu Line.
Track Markets Nu Line.
Columbia makes MoRich.

Storm owns/makes Roto Grip.
Storm makes Dynothane.

Ebonite owns/makes Hammer.

Brunswick makes Lane #1.
Brunswick owns/makes Revolutions.

Visionary makes their own.

Lanemasters owns/makes AZO.

Not sure who makes Neo-Tac, and some of the other really small companies.

Pretty sure that Columbia, Storm, and possibly Ebonite make balls for other private label companies that are primarily over seas.
