Storm Gadget
« on: March 13, 2007, 05:33:19 PM »
Anyone here use a Gadget wristband. I am thinking of buying one as I am starting to have some wrist problems. I am looking for something lightweight thats not to restrictive but will give me the support I need. I know wrist support devices are a sore subject here but there are times when they are needed.

I have had some MAJOR wrist issues over the last 6 months.  The things that have helped me more than any solid style brace are excersizes(a grip ball & any type of wrist excersizer with tension), as well as a wrist "support" from walgreens.  My support is just like a little ace bandage with a velcro strap to make it tighter.

I find this helps me with the wrist pain MUCH more than anything ive ever tried in the form of a true wrist brace.

i use a storm gadget since the beginning of the year. I used to bowl without any guards but i used to get very tired in the wrist and trying to strengthen my wrist let me to a few problems. basically i am a golf professional but i love bowling to death. Due to my profession i can't have my right wrist too strong otherwise i will end up hooking all my golf balls.

The gadget enables me to just rest my wrist. It also helps encourage me to use the swing and weight of the ball to generate speed. I don't have to control my wrist now and it just makes my life easier with 1 less thing to think about. Now when i bowl i only have to concentrate on my target and release. The swing and wrist are taken care of by the gadget.
