My buddy is in search of a very smooth rolling particle pearl for medium conditions (medium light to medium heavy). I was thinking the Brunswick Ambush would be a good choice, any other opinions? BTW, he does not like storm.

The Ambush is smooth as silk and carries very well. Not good for heavier, long patterns though due to it's polished coverstock and low load. For Medium to Medium Heavy it'll do fine.

Lane Masters Terminator is a polished particle, NOT a particle pearl, and I believe that it would be too strong for anything lighter than medium oil (based upon my experience with mine); teh next "L/LM" particle pearl ball will be the Black Pearl and is due for release the middle of October.

I've seen a few particle pearls lately ( haven't seen the terminator though), and the smmothest one I have seen around here has been the Ambush.

Couple of guys throwing them here and haven't heard any complaints and haven't seen them have any trouble with carry either.

We have medium/medium light conditions here with 38 ft of oil buffed to 42ft with the typical house shot( tapered tophat).

I Disagree with Wallshot on the Ambush.  Mine is awesome on longer, heavier patterns, and the surface is 2000.  Pin is 5 " from PAP, above fingers, with a small axis hole.  And on house patterns, with crisp backend, the ball is anything but smooth.   Very angular off the dry.  My X-Factor Ace, pin above bridge, MB strong with a low hole and surface at 2000 is much smooth of a piece for me.  It is very strong, just very smooth.  I have to say the Venus would be an awesome choice.  And you can't beat it at the price point.
