Title: Which New Ball Would You Try First
Post by: ccrider on July 22, 2009, 10:21:16 AM
Just curious as to what you other ball whores are drooling over. I am debating the Virtual Energy, Natural, and Track 505 or 715. Right now, I am leaning towards the Natural, just because I am sure that it will give me a look I do not have and have not seen.

Got the 505C, very good ball. Now deciding on Nomad Solid, Lane Breaker, Epicenter or 930T.

Since I need another solid, probably the Nomad would be my first choice.

I got the Jigsaw, looking at getting a 715A or Python in the future.

I already ordered a Storm Natural for my Monday night winter league on burned-out wood lanes.  Last season I threw my 1980-era red Ebonite Turbo on many occasions.  Hoping the Natural drilled pin-up will give me just a touch more angle down lane for those nights when the Turbo leaves too many weak ten pins.

I'm kind of moist about the Bounty Hunter.  Wish I had one right now for my summer PBAX league, but that ends in three weeks, so the BH will have to wait until I get more involved in tournaments.

Honorable-mentions include Virtual Energy and Break Point Pearl.

Took care of my Bounty Hunter wish.

But now its Break point pearl, Sideways to compliment my N-code and Code.

And a Clutch

Non AMF-900 would have to be a Xtreme Damage or Buzz Attack from Lane masters

im mainly looing for a Fast and Nomad solid
--------------------
When a house bowler misses the mark, misses the break point and strike, for many ppl its called a wallshot. When a pro does that its call adjustment

When a house bowler gets his finger stuck in the ball and fall on the lanes, for many ppl its called lame bowler. When a pro does that its called the Machuga flop! ha i like this one.

After my experience with the Momentum Swing, I am hesitant to try the Full Swing. The Momentum Swing for me is very condition specific.

Oh yeah, on the topic, the Virtual Energy looked REALLY good last weekend.  Seige is interesting too.  A bunch of other balls mentioned I don't know anything about.

Furious rolls really nice, hits good too.  Then again David Haynes makes a lot of balls look good!

Nomad Pearl, Fast, or Freeze.  I will have one of these before fall leagues start up.  The problem is, I can't decide.

What's the Hype Urethane?

New AMF urethane, using the Black angle coverstock and a new core:
http://www.ballcellar.com/product_p/amf_hype_urthn.htm

It's due out in September, made on the same assembly line as the Seismic Desperado. They'll probably be made and available at the same time, seing as how 900Global manufacturers them both.

Hype RG: 2.54, RG DIff:  .051.

After agonizing over which ball to get, I decided on the Virtual Energy, since I've been killing the pins with the VG all summer. Wasn't going to get another ball, but the Jigsaw looks like a helluva ball and I'll probably get it next month.

A Virtual Energy or a Siege probably.  Heard too many good things about the Siege to count it out.

How do you like the Virtual Energy. How did you drill it. How does it compare to your Virtual Gravity?

Charlest, just to clarify these two releases are completely independant... the Desperado is in the final stages of development and will be released once it is PERFECT

Already drilled a Burn, the 715A is next followed by a Dynamo X-2 and probably a Onyx Vibe.

Well, I got a Sting and a lanebreaker not too long ago.  Within the next week or two I will add the Energy.  Though not new, I will also add the Gravity and 2nd Kinetic Energy just before my seasons start.

I was considering a 505.

I have plenty of strong balls in my bag, so for weaker I would like to get a Freeze, I am definitely going to get one, the ball sounds amazing. The Fast, maybe a Black Vibe depending on what I see from other people throwing them and how strong they are.

For stronger balls, I would love to get a Full Swing, Bedlam, or just any of the new Columbia stuff. I am not a Brunswick fan, but the Seige actually looks good. The Magic Touch looks really good too. I haven't seen or heard anything about the Reign. The Jigsaw looks good, but I'm not sure how the colors would work out lol.

A lot of the new stuff looks good.
