Ah man, I do like Whiskey. I'm a Beam kind of guy, but mostly Knob Creek (made from Jim Beams son) and Eagle Rare, VERY smooth (albeit pricey).

But I rarely drink Whiskey. I'm definitely a beer guy, in fact my whole dining room is lined with well over 350+ different beer bottles from beers i've tried... none on my wall are macro-swill (wont see coors, bud, miller...etc up there!) My favorites are Belgian beers namely Diabolique, Duvel, St. Bernardus Abt 12, Rochefort 10. I also like good american stouts like Rogue Chocolate Stout, Bear Republic Black Bear Stout... the list goes on and on (I also enjoy homebrewing)

okay, sorry, I get excited when talking about beer... BAD Steve... this isn't a beer forum, nor a beer topic! my bad, sorry!

Irish single malts worked best for me (Patties, Bush Mills). Jack tastes like shoe leather. Mr. Beam rates high and is well respected. (He has kicked my A** many times) I too am more the bland beer man. Lagers first with fruity based ales second. Too many selections to list. Local bar carries 350 beers from throughout the world so its always fun trying new stuff.

I didn't kow Skyy made a whiskey?

Personally, I am a huge fan of Gentleman Jack.  I drink it straight up and it is so smooth and enjoyable.  I have tried many American whiskeys, but for the money, Gentleman Jack is my favorite.

As for other spirits:

Vodka-----Grey goose is good, but on a trip to Ukraine, had stuff I have never seen that was wonderful

Tequila-----Herradura, not too expensive and very good in my opinion

Beer-----New Belgian 1554, wonderful coffee/chocolate taste and smooth.  There are others, but don't have enough time in the day to list them all.

Gin-----Don't touch the stuff

When I beome drinking age in North Dakota. The place I work at gave me a six pack of Coors beer. That was alright but I got Crown Royal smooth and it burn going down that was best whiskey I ever had.
I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

Whoa, is Eagle Rare still made? That stuff I thought was extremly stong..kinda too strong if that was possible. I used to sip that stuff very slowly...my Grandpa always kept a bottle of that.

I learned that Knob Creek is made by Jim Beam, small batch whiskey. I think the Knob Creek is much better then Beam though Beam is ok.

Eek, whiskey.  I couple of years ago I got my butt kicked by an Irishman named Jameson, kind of soured my taste for whiskey as I can't drink much of it anymore.  I don't mind Crown, but for me, Jack=Yack.
