Title: Who cares how the ball looks?
Post by: novawagonmaster on November 05, 2005, 10:44:42 AM: Odd as it may seem, I hate throwing my Dirty Bomb because...well...it is ugly. Not cool ugly...just ugly.

I really like throwing my Tsunami because...ummm...it's pretty!

Sometimes I am quick to put away the ugly ball after a bad shot.
Sometimes I will struggle through (maybe all night) with the pretty ball.

Wife says (jokingly) I am a freak.
Should I see a doctor?
Anyone else share this condition?

I usually get balls that are visually appealing yet are designed to do what I want. Sometimes I think I do better with nice looking bowling balls. Must be psychological.

A "pretty" bowling ball is one that carries all 10.
An "ugly" bowling ball is one that doesn't want to carry.

I always wondered why Lane #1 frequently put something ugly on their balls.

With a better looking ball I bowl with more confidence too.
