I've been drawing core designs/writing possible coverstock ideas the past few days, and I'm wondering who I could get in contact with to submit them. Brand really doesn't matter.

Look at how kegel started end of story. But math has alot to do with what hypothetically saying about ball reaction shape matters but not as much when it is concerned with densities. Rg can be affected by drilling and differential can be but only really fine tuned.

Close, but not quite true. CG, Rg, and diff are very important, but they are only part of the equation.
As the core (and hence, the ball) migrates to a stable position as it rolls down the lane, the shape of the core will dictate how fast it migrates to that stable position. Yes, the Rg and differential will tell you how much potential there is (starting and ending point) for axis migration and flare, but it won't tell you how it actually transitions.
Think about this graphically ... a linear transition will be very steady and smooth, with the graph being a straight line.
What if the graph was hyperbolic instead of linear? The flare rings might start close together, and then dramatically increase in spacing near the end of the roll. It would not be a linear transition. And it would definitely affect the shot, and how the ball might perform downlane. It certainly won't be as influential on the reaction as the coverstock, but it can't be overlooked either.

Ron Hickland is something else. I watched him make a bowling ball in a meeting room a couple of years ago. We went the patent route and have patents for our products. It does cost around $10,000 but it is the cost of doing business. If you have a good enough product and work hard you can make it back. The bowling companies are always looking for new ideas. Once they find something they jump on it. Most of the time they will build something similar but not exact. If you do not have a patent or one pending your ideas may be soaked up.
