That old wire brush...
« on: November 29, 2007, 07:45:24 AM »
Went out of town and bowled a lot....more than I usually do.

Started doing fairly well.  Competing against a growing and improving son can keep you competing hard! To stay ahead for a little longer!

I noticed I was not happy with my approach and slide a couple of places.

Changed the heel on my dexters....changed the soles....then back again...that was closest.

One place too sticky.  Wire brushed the sole front to back....Ahh slidier!  Perfect!

Another place too slidy...  Wire brused the sole side to side......Ahh more brake.  Perfect!

I'm sure all the good bowlers on here already know this.

BUT for me....a helpful idea.  For changes less than a sole...oh that wire brush is sweet!

Another tip- don't waste your money on that flimsy brush they sell in the shop for 6 bucks.  Go to a hardware store and get a nice, firm wire brush for a buck.  They're cheaper, work better, and you won't get pissed if you leave it on the lanes like I always seem to do.

a wire brush for your bowling shoes is an accessory every bowler should have in his bag.
