Who Has the Biggest Hand Span Here?
« on: January 12, 2009, 02:40:55 AM »
Basically what you do is spread your hand wide and measure from the end of the thumb to the farthest distance across your hand to whatever finger produces the longest distance (usually thumb to ring finger produces best numbers unless you are an alien).

I measure at around 10.1".

(I could palm a basketball in the 3rd grade and thought I would go pro someday

Shows how much you don't know about bodybuilding.  Some bodybuilders that are 250lbs or more will only put 135lbs on the bench.  People don't realize powerlifting is not bodybuilding and vice versa.  I don't train to get huge lifts.  I train to get huge - and if benching, squatting, deading, etc. only requires x amount that you think is not good, then lifting any more will only make injuries go up.

so your saying that me being able to bench  255 and squat 425 when i was 16  5'8 181 lbs means i know nothing about lifting or bodybuilding?

It depends on what your goals were/are.  I'm saying there are many pros that are in the 200-300+ range that have by world standards low lifts for their bodyweight.  Jay Cutler for example won't go beyond 405 in the squat and although he can rep it out 10-20 times, it is still a lot less than a powerlifter of equal size and weight (~295lbs in off season).

Just thought I would say that I can bench 500 squat 1000 and dead lift 1400. Also my hand is 17 inches across and I can palm a VW Bug. Also I am biggger in every way to everyone one here . I'm so bigg I have to use an extra g! Clearly you all are just lesser men and should just go home. Oh, also, I get 600 RPM and throw the ball 27 MPH on my strike ball. I once clocked a 48 MPH spare ball...

Just for fun I checked mine, measured up at exactly 10 15/16, I couldn't stretch it out to 11.

But are you better than Necro at making the 10 pin?  (Apparently that's one thing he ain't too good at, but when you have the world's strongest strike ball, who needs spares?).

Oh yeah, well mine is 10 1/4" long and I can pick up a 10 pin.  But I am a stroker, which obviously makes me inferior.

P.S. Who measures in tenths of an inch?

I don't need to be good at picking up the 10 pin.  On the rare occasion when a 10 pin DARES remain standing after one of my massive thunderstrikes, I just glare at it and it falls down out of fear.  I average 295...the only reason it's not 300 is I don't want to show off

But, was your tourney average last year above 178? I didn't think so.
