Well, what can I say?  My computer is fast and I was bored.  Using the site's user list, I compiled a list of who posts the most.  I did this once before a long time ago, and Sawbones was number one--a title he has kept.  I did the top 37--see if you can figure out why.

By the way, my apologies to anyone I missed.  Let me know and I'll edit in the correction.  The last time I did this, I missed 10 In The Pit due to my failure to notice that there is an "Other" section in the User List for people who don't start their usernames with a letter.  Also, congratulations in advance to Sawbones for being the first to crack the 3000 barrier, something I'm sure he'll do within the next few days.  

There are a few people on this list who have gotten in a lot of posts in a relatively short time, and others whose names I barely recognize for some reason.  Maybe some of them have changed their names?  I know Ragnar has done this several times.  Anyway, happy yapping to all!

Considering I've only been on the site for about 8 months or so.

Babz299--how did you do that?

I forgot to comment on the fact that many people's standings changed dramatically after the Great Purge.  I know some people lost hundreds of posts.   I think I lost about 50 posts, and I don't even know why.  I never even entered the Anything Goes forum.

da Shiv, I was wondering the same thing.  It would probably make the BFDT standings easier to read.  I did "reply with quote" and deleted it just look at Babz299's post to see the "code", but it didn't help me any.

On edit #2:  My first edit looked terrible and didn't help explain what I was seeing, so I deleted it.

Lol, then think about some of us who used to talk almost only on the old AG.  Over half my posts were deleted when it was!  I was at 1200 between my two names!

I think we are missing some people.  Look at the gap between Steven and I.  That's almost 400 posts so there has to be someone in there.

Haven't really decided.  Hamster sized lederhosen is kinda hard to come by.  Maybe I'll just chew my way into a pumpkin or something.

That weak little cheese-eater can hardly carry his own purse, let alone have anything big enough to put in those tights that would make them large enough that I'd be able to fit into them.  The Hamster is supreme!

Well, I can't believe that I let Jeffrevs sneak around me!  I've been tied up during the past week, and haven't gotten much posting time, and my absence has allowed Jeffrevs to get the drop on me.  Somehow I figured that I had a way to go to catch up with Sawbones.....but, if you go back over the past 3 years or so (back even before the Eteamz days), I bet that I've got Sawbones beat too !

Apparently I'm spending too much time talking about bowling and not enough time actually on the lanes.  Oh well.....

Oh, by the way da Shiv, you are now the "Official BallReviews Statistician"!  Keep up the good work!

I'm still lost on this "code" button on the keyboard.  I even thought about taking the keyboard apart to look inside (yeah, I've done things such as that before), but I figured that I'd take the easy way out and ask.

However, I can say that I've done some pretty neat tricks on the computer before when I've been "asleep at the keyboard".  One time I created a Windows file that I can't get off of my desktop....every time I try to trash the file, I crash the computer!  I don't have a clue what file I created, or how to get rid of it either.  I've learned that I can do some pretty amazing things on the computer when I fall asleep with the mouse in my hand .

Yeah but sawbones doesn't count.  That saggy old goat is retired, tired, and retired so he has nothing else to do.  Isn't DaShiv retired also?  So one retiree posts because he has nothing better to do while the other retiree posts about the people who post because he has nothing better to do.  I'm not looking forward to retirement if this is a true indication of future retirees.

BTW, Nicanor is retiring next year.  Uhhhh ohhhhhhh!

Based on the amount of time I have been here and the number of posts I have, I realized something. I dont talk enough!! I guess I should get more involved. This one makes my 598th post. Only out of the top 37 by about 50 now!!

Speaking of statistics, here's a few more.  I had a personal record 41 messages in my mailbox here this morning, mostly about this post but with a few personal messages.  Also, I had never sent the same personal message to more than one person before, but my PM about this post went out to the other 36 people on the list and it appears to have worked.  Since the PM system shows whether the recipient has opened it or not, I can see that as of now there are 15 people who haven't  checked their mail yet, so I imagine there will be some more comments coming soon.

The last time I did this, clutch responded with a series of one word replies that added up to a sentence and spiked his total up that way.

icedad--The count of your posts continues even through name changes.  Ragnar's total includes all of his four (that I know of) names.

Jeffrevs--The count includes all the posts you initiated and all replies.

pchee2--I'm not retired yet, although I did become eligible for the AARP at my last birthday, and I joined too.  I'm not proud--I'll take those discounts.  I guess I'm eligible for most senior tournaments now, too.  I'm disillusioned with tournaments, however, but that's a subject for another post.

I still don't know what this "code" button is or how it works, if someone could enlighten me....

This is wrong people.  I feel like I am in florida.  I am just as sad as the rest of you.  Scott determined there were hanging chads or something with a lot of my posts and i lost like 200 of them.  

For the record I type just as much as the rest of you and most of it is even more meaningless than you could imagine.

     Oddly enough, I know another bowler (named Lenny) who has hamster in his nickname--Lenny Popo Hamster Man.  The reasons for this don't bear contemplating, possibly because they don't exist.  We just call him Bruce for short.

Code Button - Under the Screensize box, there is a row of buttons.  The 7th one is labeled with the # sign.  

Pressing that will enable the code function.  As Babz299 stated, you want to make sure that you have the first code placeholder (code) at the beginning of the chart or table data.  Then, go ahead and enter all the info in the format as you want it to appear.  

When you are done, just make sure that the ending code placeholder (/code) is at the end of your data.  You can check it with the Preview button and it should show up as you wanted.  

So what it should look like as you enter the data is this (keep in mind that I have to change the actual symbols or this would not show up and ignore the periods that I have to enter to show the setup):

(data)
 1.  Name of first...................Score or whatever
 2.  Name of second.............Score or whatever
 3.  Name of third...................Score or whatever

99.  Name of 99th..................Score or whatever
 
(/data)


So the actual output if I use the correct Code function:

 

 1.  Name of first              Score or whatever 
 2.  Name of second             Score or whatever 
 3.  Name of third              Score or whatever

99.  Name of 99th               Score or whatever
