I'd like to stay within my A game, but with the urethane I have now, I'm pushed away from the pocket in my second shift league. I have a white dot that I can sand down, but I remember seeing spare balls with cores. (I don't follow bowling balls new releases like I used to)
What spare ball with cores do you use and does it really help when the track gets really toasted?

I have a Taboo Spare that I have used for the conditions you describe. Closest thing, now, would be a Track Spare+. I have the mass in a strong position so there is a more noticeable difference in oil than a 3 piece but on pure dirt the difference to me is not as noticeable.

I have an old Visionary Amulet. Plastic with core. I've used it on occasion as a strike ball. Not good if it hits any oil though. For spares, I can convert many sleeper type leaves like 2-8, 2-4-5-8 (and similar combos), and most of the 3-9 combos with this ball by going straight up at them. Not sure if it is any better than a typical WD as I don't use one to compare to.
