Ok, so im finally back in form from a bad two years due to a back injury. Im carrying a 194avg but im not happy with it. I feel it should be up around 197-200. Here's why. My first games always suck..i mean SUCK!! Example, last two weeks, 134-234-265, then last night, 150-267-212. Ok, decent bowling, blew a 300 two times in two weeks cause no luck carried the shaky ten pin. But how the heck do i go from 134/150 to a 260ish game? I don't really feel like i adjust differntly, so what gives? I cannot figure it out.
Second problem. I cannot pick up a 10pin to save my life. I think ive only converted like 2 this year. Yeah, that bad. Not that ive been leaving too many, but i miss so many it makes me sick. Ive used 4 differnt balls, thrown different, etc.. What is the trick to picking this up. Its as if ive lost my way. A spare that used to be so easy for me is suddenly impossible. Ive picked up more splits than 10pins. Any advice would be greatly welcome.

Without seeing you bowl, just as a guess I think you are using too agressive of a ball the 1st game. Seems like it may be reacting too strong off of the fresh lanes. 2d & 3d game the track has opened up for you taming the ball down.
As far as 10 pins, get a plastic ball, get the right lane of a pair and spend 10 games just shooting the 10 pin. Be honest with yourself, and only count it a hit if you pick the 10 clean off of the rack.
