drilling my own balls
« on: December 04, 2009, 05:03:36 PM »
Wonder what kind of drill bit( for metal?) I'll need and what's a good place to get them? I plan to practice with balance holes first so I may drill into the core......Thanks!

do people really do this? i mean, without a jig and proper measurement tools, you can screw up your pitches and eventually cripple your own hand.... sounds like a bad idea

keep an eye on ebay...I got my jig for around $180, spent $75 for a set of drill bits and under $300 for a scale.

Picked up a floor standing drill press on CL..

Good advice. Also, watch the for sale section. You will be able to pick up most of what you need at a good price if you are patient.

I think every wannabe ball driller should chuck up a carbide bit in a 1/2" drill and drill a hole in a bowling ball.   Especially holding it between your legs

Which ball should they be aiming for?
