It is about time we had a high end free agent signing in the offseason. I didn't expect to hear anything until Jan. But glad to hear he is going to New York!!

For 7 years, $160 million, the Yankees can have him.  Here's hoping my Red Sox pull off the Texiera signing!

He's a great pitcher.  But that was a steep price, especially in this economy.  Wow.  Yankees need starting pitching.

Another black day in baseball free agency. Thanks to the NY Yankees for continuing to whore up the entire MLB!

Who besides me and Bill Simmons is excited for four summers from now when CC is 32 years old, clocks in at 320 pounds, and is struggling his way through a 90-degree day at the Stadium? Meantime, he's pitching to a 4.60 ERA for the season, and everyone in the Bronx is contemplating slicing their wrists over the thought of having that albatross on their roster for 3 more seasons at a cost of over $70 million. I know others out there must be giddy at the mere thought of this...

Uncle in 4 yrs if that is the case, the yankees are supposably including an opt out clause in this contract. So they can just say see ya CC have fun.. As well as CC can walk away after 3 years as well
