Title: WOW!
Post by: captzap on June 22, 2008, 01:49:29 PM
Tonight in league I picked up for the 1st time in my life the BIG 4 split. 4,6,7,10. In fact this is the 1st time I have even seen it made. The league coordinator was watching and made the announcement with in second of me making the shot. I shot 667 with all games over my average and our team won all 7 points. Bowling was sure fun night.

Great job! I picked it up once myself, although I may have left it 1,543,279 times.
That shot will remain etched in your memory for years to come, so congrats, once again.

Congrats!  I can get the 6-7-10 but how to get the 4 pin out of it is beyond me.  Gotta get that 7 to fall forward into the 4 some how.  Is that how you did it?

I've taken the 4,6,7,10 off of the greek church

Nice shot...

On mine I had a pin bounce out of the pit and trip the 6 and 10 pins. Sometimes you just gotta' fire one hard and hope to get a lucky bounce. I did.

Congrats! Made it once myself and I'll never forget it. You won't forget yours, either.

Congratulation - still waiting for my 1st conversion of the Big Four (even though I cleared a Greek Church twice so far, and rarely leave a 4-6-7-10).

Congrats!  That's so cool.  I haven't ever seen that made in person yet.

Hmm, in fcat, I consider the Greek Chruch to be easier to clear than the 4-6-710, bevause you have the extra 9 pin which guides the 6, if you hit the 10 well and clip the 6, towards the left side. the rest is praying

For the 4-6-7-10, you must either clip the 6 VERY tight, pray for a 7 toppling forward, or hit one side so strong the pin(s) deflect towards the gutter and then are sent back by the walls across the pin deck - praying included here, too.

Thanks everyone.

I know that this is a once in a life time event and won't forget it. I threw my Target Zone toward the 6,10 and the ball clipped the 6 over between the 7 & 4. The ball continued to take out the 10. The 6 hit the 7 and deflected / rolled back into the 4 and down they went.
