I was to my pro shop today to pick up the old ladies ball and 1 I had there to get a new thumb slug in it..... He drilled her ball, (plugged fingers and redrilled) , then mine. I had him turn the lanes on and he gave us 10 practice balls to try the drilling out to see if it needed reworking. They did not so we bowled a game after.

When we went to pay for the proshop work and bowling, he said $23, I thought not bad. So the old lady goes to the car and gets this ball that she had been throwing and says "I come bearing gifts" and he says to his wife only charge them 13 for the shop work and no tax. So I write him a check and casually ask, what would you charge me to redo all my thumbs on 6 or 7 balls if I supply the slugs??? He says "oh not very much" how bout nothing? I said WOW!!!!! And to top this all off I don't even bowl leagues in his house, but I do drive an hour to get there and am there at least 3 times a month.
I did just buy a new discontinued ball off him (my first new ball in 4 years)
and am currently payin a bit at a time on it.


The reason for the thumbs being redone is I have lost 29 pounds in the last 2 months..... and I have about 90 more to go to get to my goal. (I told him this, but don't know if that had anything to do with $75 to $100 worth of work for nothing) My thumb used to start out at 1" and be opened up from there, now I am down to 31/32" and no opening of the thumb, just a little off the back of my knuckle area, to oval it out a bit.....

I have to say this guy is one of the nicest I have ever gone to and I have used about 4 different guys in my area, but had to travel to get to all of them.
