Title: wrist bands
Post by: JohnN on October 04, 2015, 10:19:37 AM
I wear a Roby gloves with the metal supports in it.More to keep my wrist from hurting than for bowling reasons (getting older and bowl in 2 leagues). Would like to try bowling without it but when I do the wrist starts hurting after a couple of weeks. Just wondering if the simple wrist bands work well?

Sometimes there's no substitute for bowling without pain. What wristbands are you talking about?

I bought a wrist strap from Dunham Sports a while back that I use when my wrist is either hurts or I start feeling a popping in my forearm. I tighten down that puppy pretty well and I can bowl without pain. I only have to use it once in a blue moon, but it keeps me able to bowl without pain.

Talking about the ones that just go around the wrist such as the one made by Storm. Not the gloves, they just wrap around the wrist.

look at this one

this one keeps the wrist straight and doesn't affect your grip
I have wore out cartilage in part of my wrist
at the suggestion of my pro shop guy, we did a combination of this brace and I ended up with a new layout, slightly shorter span and deeper thumb helps relieve my wrist pain

Already have something similar, just wanted to know about the wrist bands not the braces. Thanks anyways.

I use a Master version from time to time but that only really helps me dealing with stiffness. I don't think it would do much if you experience pain. I could be wrong, but it wouldn't be one of my choices if I was dealing with pain and wanted to avoid the pain
