I have a lot of arthritis and just recently went to a storm xtra hook, very comfortable makes it a lot easier and more consistent.

I'm about the same as you, general aches & pains, sore fingers, etc.  I've been using a Moro Pro Release for a few years and have been quite happy with it.  It's well made and adjusts for multiple positions for wrist cup and wrist cock.

I also have a lot of aches and pains, will be 71 next week and a few years ago I went with the Steel Fingers with the wrist support and it has been a real good investment for me and I think it actually increased my rolls and revs. My fingers don't hurt anywhere near like they used to when I used a different wrist brace that was made out of metal.
