Wrist Braces
« on: February 22, 2008, 02:54:54 PM »
I'm thinking about getting a new wrist brace!

Has anybody used the new "Storm Gadget" wrist brace? How does it compare with Storms older previous wrist brace, the "Strong Arm"?

Do you like the Gadget as much as the Strong Arm?

Is there any features that was on the Strong Arm that isn't on the Gadget that you wish was on it?

Thanks!

I've got the Gadget with the extended finger. Most comfortable padding of any brace I've used.

I'm seriously thinking of getting one!

The one without the Extended Finger, though, is what I would be getting!

The Gadget is Storm's next generation replacement for the Strong Arm. The dial for cup adjustment works a little different, the brace itself is a hair longer, and it has much better cushioning. It's a nice brace.

I would also like to get a new one soon.  I have been using this one for a couple years and liked it.

Anyone have some suggestions on similar braces or should I just stick with what works?

kidjete: The Robby Revs II is a nice brace. It's very light, and shorter than the Gadget. I wish Storm would come out with a downsized Gadget the size of the Revs II. I think it would sell quite well.

The fundamental difference between the Gadget and most other 'hard' braces is that it allows you to freely cup forward from whatever cup position is set. For those who have a natural cup motion in their backswing, it's a very nice feature.
