Where do i start ? this year has been so frustrating . The league handicap is 80 % of 1000 .
my team looks like this . bowler 1 - 155 average
bowler 2 - 151
bowler 3 - 157
bowler 4 - 161
bolwer 5 - 197 ( me )
Our typical league nite goes as follows . bowlers 1 , 2, and 4 . Come out and open the nite with a 120 thier first game , 175 to 190 thier second game , and finish off with a 140 .
Bowler 2 is a straight bolwer , throws a 14 Pound Chicago White Sox plastic ball . he throws the ball about Mach 5 down the lane . ( we have a bet s too how long his plastic ball is going to last ) but bowler 2 has to be eligable for most improved bowler this season . his average last year was 132 , and he has raised his average almost every week . if he misses his average on league nite , it is usually by 1 - 5 pins . And then there is me . I had a vasectomy 4 weeks ago . i took 2 weeks off bowling , and the guys with 7 games in my absence . my first nite back was ruff on me . i struggled . i couldnt bend very well , and threw a 410 series . but we won 4 games that nite . Last nite. i came out and threw a 702 series . and we lost 4 games .
but this is just the tip of my frustrations. the teams inconsistancy to provide backup when i am bowling well .
The second part of this is . We always play teams that have career nites against us . Last nite was a prime example . We gave the team 43 pins handicap . their leadoff bowler has the Storm Basketball . And he throws without his thumb in the ball , the guy has a 120 average, and threw a 640 series last nite. The rest of the team did the same thing ,the rest of their team all bowled 25 to 50 pins over thier average EVERY game . this happens to us 90 % of the time .
I am to the point of going to Wal-Mart , buying a package of white T-Shirts and a black magic marker . Every League nite i am going to write the name of our opponent on my shirt and see i magically bowl a 900 series . It's just the curse of my team this year . Grr , it is just so FRUSTRATING ! Anyone else going thru this ?
