What is a x-comp ball?

This is a 2nd hand quality bowling ball.  X-comps usually mean there is a surface blemish.  Something along the lines of a scratch, engraving error, pin crack, wrong color, smaller size, air in the coverstock, chips, etc...

These are often used as comp balls to staff members, pro shop operators and select amateurs.
