X-factor vs. SSP
« on: February 08, 2004, 07:00:40 PM »
I'm looking to add one of these to my bag to fill a gap between my Sonic X and my Truck.  I'm looking for something with a pretty sharp backend break to the pocket bowling on typically medium conditions.  I like these 2 as the prices are pretty good and everyone here seems to like them.  Am I completely out of whack thinking they have similar reactions?

Basics say they are very different,.........about the same RG, however the diffs are quite different, being that the X has a larger diff, probably stronger OVERALL ....however, if you're looking for skid snap on mediums, the SSP is great !

As for the X-Factor, it is more versitile.  It has a much more aggressive core (than the SSP) and excellent coverstock, and can be drilled to do many different things, especially, skid flip......
SSP is $30-50 less....

These were pretty much my thoughts -- the SSP is a great ball for the money, but I like the X-Factor for what I think will be a more useful ball for me.....Also, if they were of equal price, then I definitely think the X-Factor is the choice......

I believe it's the CORE / COVER combo that makes the Streak pearl and solid "do thier thing !"

My buddies SSP has basically a 4x4 but his cg is below his mid-line so it's a strong arc, not THAT flippy.......
