Feeling good this week
« on: January 19, 2004, 06:43:58 AM »
It all started last thursday.  My accuracy was pretty good and I was making my spares.  Ended up shooting a 614 series with a 257 game.  You might say a 614 is low, but for me a 600 series is great.  Sunday came and even though I did not have a ball that matched the lanes very well, I still made my average and on that league I have 10 weeks in a row with a 200+ game.  Tonight my sunday team had to do a prebowl.  Started off good with a 194.  We had to switch lanes half way thru due to leagues starting and ended up with a 228.  Last game was a grinder, but I made most of my spares and got a 182 and I ended up with a 604.  This is the first time I have ever shot 2 600 series within 7 days, and hopefully they last until this sunday cause I have 2 tournaments this weekend.  My next league is thursday, and I will let you all know how the rest of the week goes.

Good consistent scores.  I've said over and over again that hitting a milestone the first time is the hardest. (600)  After the first time each one gets easier.  I think we just mentally "sell ourselves short" when we get close to a certain plateau, start trying to score instead of bowling and come up just a little short.

Congratulations, you've taken yourself over the hump.  Next goal should be a 650 or 700.  Once you get the first one, watch and see how quick the others come.
