York P.A. ?
« on: March 10, 2004, 03:34:59 AM »
Hey all. Just curios if anyone on this board is in the York P.A. area? I will be traveling there on business next week and would like to look them up at the bowling alleys if they are bowling. I am not even sure what alleys there are around there but thought I would give a shout out and see. Thanks.

AM not A CHICK OF BOWLING but I wanted to be in Manda's clique And why would I "saw" pins in half, THATS A WASTE OF PINS! I'd rather blow it over with my storm, and 21mph ball speed on dry shots.

I'm a Yorker -- what do you want to know?  Where will you be staying when you're in town?

Staying at the Heritage golf resort. Just wondering if there were any alleys around that area and see if any ballreviewers wanted to meet up and put some faces behind the names. Nothing special, just a chance to get out on company time.

I bowl my leagues at Lincolnway -- nice little place, but it's pretty packed with leagues during the week.  Depending on what nights you're there, Suburban has a Tuesday/Wednesday night special - $16.95 (for the lane up to 8 bowlers) all you can bowl from 9:00 - 11:00 and, like they said, it's a great house.  You can reserve a spot there.  At Colony Park North, on Wednesday they have Quartermania - $4.00 cover and $0.25 a game from 9:00-11:00.  They have a couple of leagues, so it may be hard to get a spot.  Conditions can also be a little spotty -- they put you on the open bowling lanes -- could be nicely oiled or very toasty!!  They also have a Thursday night special - $5.95 all you can bowl.  There's also East Lincoln Lanes on East Market St. and Lion Bowl in Red Lion -- small town, I think 12 lane center....Here are some websites...

Thanks for the responses. Will have to check one of these lanes out. Might have to throw a ball or two in the car with me.
