Has anybody forgot about a ball in their bag?
« on: February 26, 2008, 12:14:04 PM »
Sometimes the answer is right in front of your face. I've been struggling for a couple of months. Average slipped 8 pins to 230. The house has been putting out more oil and I can't open the lane up like normal. So there it is, just sitting in my bag all year gathering dust. Then three weeks ago this ball spits the dust out of its mouth and SHOUTS "Hey, what about me. I have a HUGE back end." I'm like Yep that's right ! So out comes the Fuse Igniter. Total destruction of the pins. Carry Down !?! What carry down. Just plows right thru it like nothing. Shoot 771, 751 and 818 the last three weeks. I'm such a dumb *ss.

Every once in awhile I will dig deep into the back of the closet and pull out a ball that was dead. After sitting for some time the oil's must soak deep into the ball and it leaves the coverstock like new again. I will toss some great games for 2-3 weeks and then the ball will die again and it's back into the closet. It's great for tourney's of position rounds.

Nice scores Scooterdog. Why was the Ignitor not used for a year?

This ball usually has too much back end for me to control at my home house. This ball is from 6 years ago and hooks harder then anything I've ever seen. Just don't understand why. Been using a Jolt, Power Machine and the Inertia. I think most of my stuff has soaked up too much oil. From now on I vow to clean my balls after every set.
