Ball Spinner Questions!
« on: December 22, 2005, 06:00:22 AM »
Ok everyone, I need some help on this one.

I am in the market for a new ball spinner.  I'm averaging around 223-225, and have been looking around for one for a bit but can't decide on which one I want.

I've been looking at the innovative, jay hawk, and vertex models, but I have a few questions regarding them all.

Is it necessary to have a 2 speed to resurface ball, and do all of the polishing and cleaning, or would it be a waste of money since I don’t own a pro shop, and would be just doing my equipment (about 8 balls).

Does anyone have any experience with any or all of these companies?

I am looking for a quality spinner, since I plan on using it for quite a while.

Thanks for all your help.

Tim

You need to also look at the Innovative Spinners. Very good quality.

With having the higher speed in addition to the lower speed you will be able to achieve a higher shine or gloss.

Try looking at both the following links.

I would recommend the vertex single speed spinner. I have owned this spinner and was very happy with it. I personally see no need for a 2 speed spinner. This single speed worked just fine for home use.

I'm not sure how your average has anything to do with picking out a spinner..

pnj1967, Innovative is 1 of the 3 that I am looking into...

jkiser01, I know it doesn't really matter to the subject, but I didn't want a response like "have your pro shop guy do it".  I'm picky on how I like to prepare my coverstocks, so I thought I would mention it.

Make your own... It really isn't that hard of a task. Or, if you have an engineering/mechanical friend, you might be able to convince them to make you one and save you some moulah.

I recently purchased the Vertex 1/2hp single speed.
I LOVE IT!
Looks to be very well built...should last a lifetime.
Been playing with it every night since I opened it up.

novawagonmaster, So do you think you could resurface a ball with only the 1/2 HP?

Do you get a good polish with it?
