Ok quick question I'm going to purchase a ball tommorrow. It's between the hammer legend or the dv8 unruly thug. Ok let me know the pros and cons and opinions.
Thanks in advance.

What do you want the ball to do and what lane conditions are you going to be using it on
-
Medium to heavy I want a ball to go down and in I'm a medium rev player 15 to 16 mph I'm not that banana type of a hook player
-
Depends on which legend. I think either choice will work, but depending on which legend may require a slight surface adjustment.
If both balls were at the same surface I think you'd be pretty close either way. So it may be a matter of personal preference on color, or the better deal you can get.

I wouldn't personally go with either ball for that type of shot. The Legend has a good amount of backend and the Unruly is the newest monster in the game.
I'd look a little lower down the ladder at the Diva Divine, Rude Dude, or Absolut Hook or Curve

Why do you say that I just curious.

He asks that because it will help dictate which ball is best for what you want. Each ball is designed to handle and do certain things. Knowing what you need the ball to do assists in deciding which ball is best for you.
It's cliche, but you seem to be in need of a Pro Shop. Just tell them what you are looking for and they should be able to point you in the right direction. Don't just take their word as gospel though. Do your own research, ask questions, get multiple informed opinions and then make your choice. That's the best way in my opinion to be satisfied with your purchase and not just assume the ball is junk because it wasn't what you wanted or expected.

I almost pulled the trigger on the Thug Unruly recently to fill the top end of my bag.
But I don't think it would fill the hole that you're looking for it to fill? It looks like a true heavy oil ball that will need some oil in order for it to get down lane without burning up all its energy. If you really want to play down and in on a THS, I would think that this would be too much ball for the dry boards on the outside of the lane?

I'm sorry I quoted the wrong answer I wanted to know why the other ball choices lol
Ok I get the thug might be too much and alway have to chase the oil but would the hammer legend be a better choice.

The Black Widow Legend or Black Widow Red Legend?
The B.W. Legend offers more overall hook, while the B.W. Red Legend is supposed to provide more length and a bigger back end reaction. I can't say for sure because my B.W. Red Legend hasn't come in the mail yet for me to drill up and enjoy ;D

Both balls use asymmetric cores with covers that are pretty strong. Strong core + strong cover means you'll be forced into the oil quicker or your carry will suffer unless you are high speed very low revs.
From what you said, you'd be medium speed medium revs. Symmetric cores are more even rolling and the balls I suggested have strong enough covers to handle heavier mediums where you could stay straighter and play essentially down and in

The original legend.

Jet aviator is my go 2 ball for that type of shot

The original legend.
I don't own the Thug Unruly, but from what I've seen is that it's a hook monster that maybe on par with the Guru, Jackal and Hyper Cell. The B.W. Legend is a great ball and I love the one that I own but those balls mentioned prior have a higher oil handling capability. I believe that my B.W. Legend is versatile enough to handle the changing lane conditions and all but the heaviest or driest of patterns put out there.
Both are good balls, just made for different things.

3 balls that come to mind are the Black Legend, the IQ Nano, and the Gamebreaker 2. All 3 will give you an early read with a strong but controllable motion on the backend. I think the Unruly will be too strong for what you are looking for.
