Hi. I am assuming you are referring to the TS&A, as it is the only second drill, but you know what assuming can do :-).
The first drill on the TS&A was in almost the same exact location. I just slightly moved the fingers, because of some span alignment and finger pitch changes I was trying, at the time.
If you look closely at the picture, you will see the darker maroon areas around the finger inserts. That is where the ball was plugged from the first drill. It was a very slight change.
Thanks

spans?
-
Spans are below. They are measured cut-to-cut. Add about 1/4" to the numbers if you want to know the distance to the inside edge of the finger insert.
Middle finger: 3 49/64"
Ring finger: 3 47/64"
Thanks
Chuck

Thanks for your message.
The top of the pin does have a small chip. Honestly, the pin should have been moved up or down, by a small amount, but it was an honest mistake by my ball driller.
FWIW, I took the finger insert out to examine the crack and a very little peice of the top of the pin chipped away, mostly from the scribe marks, which were made to drill the finger holes. The pin literally chipped on the scribe line. There are no cracks which continue further down.
I was hoping someone could get some use out of the ball, as it has been just sitting around taking up space. It is in great shape, otherwise.
Please make an offer, if you are interested, as I understand people having reservations about a chipped pin.
Thanks
