Cons:
you definitely need oil for this ball, i was constantly moving to stay in the oil because of how strong the ball is.
the ball is extremely ugly, it is a good thing i dont buy stuff just on looks cause i would not own this one if i did

This ball is great on fresh house shots. despite the length drilling the ball revs early and makes a strong, but controllable move to the pocket.
I really like the early and continuous roll this ball delivers. Mine is very versatile. It rolls and hits hard in the oil, from a direct line or inside angle and on drier conditions the ball reacts very strongly and covers more boards without burning up.
This is my first MoRich ball and I'm very happy with the results.

Lane Conditions: various. Used on my house pattern, on the VIPER pattern and at the Ohio State Bowling Tournament.
HOOK:
Heavy: Even with the OOB compound finish the Revs hooks....ALOT. It easily fills the bill as an oiler.....adjusting the surface some would make this ball a beast on oil.
Medium: As long as there is enough oil to carry the ball down the lane the REVS takes over in the midlane and doesn't stop until all 10 pins are down.
Light: FORGET IT!
TOTAL HOOK:
I have not thrown an Awesome HOOK....I have seen it thrown and the REVS is not too far behind it. I see it playable on most med/heavy-heavy patterns, but OOB it is going to need some friction to turn over.
CONTROL:
FOR ME...the only thing I can control with this ball is placing it in my hand. When it comes to the lanes...get it close to your target and have fun watching it work.
EXPECTED REACTION:
I have had a few balls drilled like this one in the past....the RULE GP2, the XCEPTION 5.0 to name a couple. The REVS is stronger off of the break than either of them were. I was suprised at how quickly it got into a roll even on a fresh pattern...but I was even more suprised at how much energy it retained down the lane.
Strengths:
THE ENGINE BABY!!! The Vanguard core...in any of its "mutations" is pretty sweet. An employee of mine stated how it REVS through the midlane and then looks like it stops doing anything then it just REVS again making its turn into the pocket. The coverstock is strong even with the compound....so med/heavy- heavy patterns shouldn't be an issue.
Weaknesses:
The REVS looks bad when there is lack of sufficient oil to carry it down the lane. I think a good coat of polish would do the trick to ease that issue....but it is so good OOB why change it!?
COMMENTS:
I have not thrown a MoRich ball since the Hercules. The Vanguard Core is so much stronger than the old stuff was. The HIT is a step up from anything I have seen from Mo's older equipment. The overall movment of the REVS makes me wonder what the FLIP does.......because I see alot of FLIP out of the REVS. HEAVY ROLL....STRONG BACKEND reaction. The Awesome REVS is a winner!

House #1: Old but well maintained wood w/guardian in the front, Shark pattern in sanctioned PBA league, 4 games moving 1 pair to the right each time.
I liked my Awesome Hook so much at 1000 abralon as a ball for longer mediums that I needed a true oiler, so I drilled this up the same way and took it to 500 abralon (essentially reversing their box cover preps, but the Revs is inherently stronger). Even with the coarser cover, the Revs was still much more snappy in the back than the Hook. This ball rolled very heavy and strong the whole way. My scores weren't great but that was because I didn't throw good shots, not because the ball is bad or didn't match up.
**update** House #2: AMF synthetics, non-sanctioned sport shot, 4 different lengths, I shot on the longest (51') and the two shortest (unknown length). I chewed up the 51' like it wasn't even there, pretty much straight up 7 and carry was fine. Put it away on the shortest shot in favor of my Vapor Zone, and then brought it back out on the other one where I was going roughly 18 - 12 for most of the game. This ball has a devastating midlane and backend read on these lanes, I mean it was just INSANE the reaction I was getting. This is easily my favorite piece for heavy oil since the Slate Blue Quantum (and it's been a LONG time since that one came out).
If you're looking for a ball for heavy oil that still has some movement in the back, this would be a very good choice. If you want a smooth, urethane-type reaction, the Awesome Hook would be a better choice. I'm sure at it's box finish that it makes a very fine ball on heavier mediums too.

My first experience with it I was impressed with the powerful backend move, but the carry was a little bit spotty. Then I got the box finish sanded to 4000 grit. What a difference! This ball cuts through oil beautifully, then when it hits the dry still makes a powerful, angular move toward the pocket. It isn't a true heavy oil ball (with this surface) but still grips enough in the oil to jump off the dry. It also takes carrydown very well. I did lose a little bit of backend with the surface change, but it became more controllable and more tolerant of oil. Also, the carry improved astronomically. I am by no means a power player but this thing has me flinging messengers across the deck at least once a game. Get this ball for Medium-Heavy oil and if you have trouble, play with the surface. It will be well worth it.

I first threw this ball on the shark pattern in my PBA experience league in which the ball read the lane pretty well and allowed me to play up 8 and have a nice, consistent backend reaction. I was impressed with the way the ball read the lane without giving me a spotty reaction when it hit the soup.
On a THS, this ball gives me about 10 boards to hit when playing deep and finishes very hard. I have left very few 10 pins and only a couple 7's.
Overall, I am glad I made the $100 investment and I am planning on using this as my first ball out the bag for my fall league and my regional PBA tournaments.

I took the ball out with the box surface and found that on the scorpion pattern (closest we had locally to the Nationals pattern), it just didn't have enough surface to start up in the midlane. I had sort of expected this (as the ball comes with a compound finish) and had been advised about this from Fred at MoRich. I took the ball back to the shop and hit it with a 1000 grit Abralon pad. WOW did it make all the difference in the world! The ball came alive and was almost too much ball on the pattern. You could see the ball starting to rev up in the midlane and once it hit the end of the pattern, it hit fully stride. Tons of revs (appears to actually increase in revs as it goes down the lane), but not a real "jerky" move off the end of the pattern. More on a strong arc completely through the deck with lots of power at the pins.
I had a decent look with the Revs during the fresh oil team event at Reno. Plenty of ball and great hit when I was able to direct it towards the pocket. Since then, I have thrown the Revs for all of the longer oil patterns during my PBA Experience league (both this summer and now our fall league). This is simply my go-to ball for oil. I just can't say enough good things about this ball.
The the proper layout and surface, I think this ball can fit anywhere from mediums all the way up to the floods. Very strong, fast revving core in this one. Strong on the backend, but still easy to control. It has replaced my Fury as my favorite oil ball.

HOUSE 1: Wood lanes heavy in the middle light on the outside, I was surprised I thought this ball would jump early from the beginning of the night but it held just long enough, I went from 14 at the arrows to about 8 at the break I had to pick my speed up just a little to get some extra length and the got the break point down to about 44. Revs would pick up and make a smooth move to the pins no jumps or snaps carry was just sick as long as the ball hit the 1-3 they were all going down.
HOUSE 2: Tournament shot similar to Chameleon with a little more juice. Enter Revs 15 at the arrow out to ten the extra oil held Revs just past 45 feet and it flew into the pins nice and controlled but a stronger break than on the previous house. Carry again was fantastic, the pins wee jumping out of the way before the ball got to them. As this pattern broke down I went left inside of 15 at the arrows and picked up the ball speed this worked for a little while but Rev's cover was just to strong and I had to put it away after the second game.
I had this ball for quite awhile, never really had sucess till the past couple of weeks. When I first got it early in the season I had it box finish and it was way to strong no good reaction even with my ball speed I couldn't get the ball down the lane for crap. Polish came first and that didn't work very well then a balancing hole and finally the ball was long enough to use. Ball has smooth arc with the drill pattern and is not jumpy at all even with polish and the extra hole very controllable off the break point and predictable a good ball to come out of the bag first. Hit and carry is just devastating I couldn't belive some of the stuff I was seeing on the pin deck, ball just rolled right through the pins kept on turning all the way.
Compare: To my HPP, HPP's pattern is pin under bridge. Revs has alot more power than HPP it can handle more oil, Revs is earlier than the HPP other than that the two balls have almost Indentical reactions and carry. They make a great one two punch on various conditions.
Things to consider: Drill the ball to a little later unless you have alot of ball speed I throw 18-22 MPH and I couldn't get this ball down the lane in box Finish. It is not often I have that issue. Overall great ball when I got the ball in the proper condition.

1st Revs= Pin is slightly above my ring finger placeing the mass bias at 30" and 2 1/2" from my thumb. (Surface is 4000 Abralon Polished with Black Magic XL)
2nd Revs= Pin is 2 inches above my fingers placeing the mass bias straight across from my thumb and 2 1/2" inches away. Weight hole was placed on my PAP (Surface is at 500 Abralon with Clean and Dull)
I dont really get alot of hook from these two balls. Not like some of the people that has said in the reviews. They are however INCREDIBLE rolling balls! They blend the lane better than any other mo rich ball I have tried. This make the adjustments much smaller and much more simple I feel. I feel all styles of bowlers will love this ball even including the crankers when placed with the right surface. This ball doesnt quiet rev up like the Awsome Flip but it is in fact next in line for reving up in the midlane. I have even been bowling and seen people lose reaction in their equipment and where I was playing the same area I would never have to move and my reaction would be consistant. For some of you bowlers that buy this ball and it doesnt work on the 1st league condition u hit, dont be fooled because the next condition... This ball may blow the compition away. Another perfect 10 ball in the bag! Im a proud user of Rons Magic Carpet. For those of you that havnt tried it, its ur own loss!!!

The ball has the pin at the 1 o'clock position with the thumb about 3" away from the MB with the CG out of line to the left by a 1/2".
The ball is OOB finish. With this layout I can throw it 2 different ways and get two different reactions. First way I come around the ball and what happens is it has a good midlane turn and then no continuation.
The second release is up the back of the ball and this gives me a good move in the midlane with contiuation on the backend.
This ball in my opinion is best suited for about medium lanes at best at the OOB finish, but with the MB being so far away from my thumb it is a little weak of a layout for me on a MoRich ball. Overall a decent ball probably not one that will see a lot of time on the lanes.

I have to say that I've really had a problem lately finding equipment that seems to match up for me, but this is perhaps the best bowling ball I've ever thrown. There really isn't anything that I can't make this ball do. I've thrown equipment from every manufacturer and I've been sponsored by Brunswick and Ebonite and this is by far the most versatile piece of equipment I've ever thrown besides the V2 sanded. I can use this on everything even fried patterns by just adjusting the surface. If you want a ball that is even and yet very strong in the mid-lane this is the ball for you.
I didn't have much luck with the Awesome Hook, but because of this ball I can't wait to try the LEVRG.
Everyone should have one of these.....

This ball rocks on fresh oil. With a lot of revs I found it hard to stand anywhere on the right(me being right handed). But standing on 35 throwing out to about 12 is a very good line for this ball. But because of the Particle coverstock, this ball isn't the ball to be throwing once the lanes start breaking down. Good ball from Morich again!!!

Med Revs - 300 - 350 * sometimes less
Primarily like to play up the boards - more consistent 8 - 12 board swing most times.
9-11-2008 Pratice session on 39' THS with OB at 3 board oil on heavier side.
Game 1 - 250 (2 opens) last 8 strikes
Game 2 - 204 (3 opens inc pocket 7-10, chopped bucket) Last 5 strikes
Game 3 - 220 (2 opens) 7 strikes total missed 7 pin & missed 10 pin.
674 series to start - numerous trailers, sometimes pin travelled across lane twice coast to coast, shots sounded awesome and results were too.
9-12-2008 Thursday League Session - 39' THS on heavier side with OB.
Game 1 - 213 with 2 opens (missed 10 pin, chopped 3-6)
Game 2 - 185 with last three strikes (Left 7 single pin spares) * Bowlers fault on single pins, did not study pin reaction and adjust for better strike hit.
Game 3 - 268 (10 pin in 5th frame and 2nd ball of 10th frame)
666 series
223 Average over 6 games so far, I average 206 normally using weapon of mass bias drilled label.
Great googly moogly - this ball hooks Very impressed will review a little later to see how things progress further.
