Morich versus other brands
« on: December 10, 2006, 10:43:54 PM »
I have had a couple of Morich balls in the past, a Mayhem and a Shock and Awe, and have been pretty happy with both. I am now looking for a heavy oil ball. I am RH, throw about 19MPH average, with med/high - high revs ( sorry don't have the exact RPMs). I am interested in the Awesome Hook. I have seen a lot of comparisons on here between different Morich balls but was wondering if anyone had a good comparison between the Awesome Hook and a few of the newer balls of other companies like:

Storm Special Agent
Ebonite Infinite One
Hammer No Mercy
Hammer Hawgzilla

Thanks to all who take the time to respond.

The guy I drilled an Awesome Hook for also has a No Mercy....he only had a few games on the No Mercy when we got the Hook..and side by side, the Hook is earlier with less move off the break....both are factory surface, which means they are very different. Don't quite know how they would stack up if the surfaces were identical.

Don't look past the Seek and Destroy.  I loved mine when I was throwing 16.  It's strong enough OOB to handle large volumes of oil, but also versatile enough to combat anything medium and up.

Here's my review of it:  http://www.ballreviews.com/Reviews/Reviews.asp?ManufacterID=16&BallID=692&ReviewID=24482
