There is also an awesome "solar eclipse" opposite the pin. About a 2" black spot surrounded by white...
I'm glad it only has 1.9 oz. of TW, because the layout that I have on it at the moment puts the cg smack dab on my PAP.

And yeah, I do know it all.. I don't spend 30+ hours a week learning more about bowling for my heatlh... I do it so I know more than all of you.. which I do. (besides the random few that are staffers/work in the bowling business.. which that population is decreasing little by little)

Here's the eclipse I was referring to...

Above is the layout you saw pictured earlier. For me, using the dual angle layout technique it's a 4 1/4" pin to PAP, 30 deg. primary angle and 30 deg. pin to VAL angle.
With this layout the ball floats through the first 30+ feet of the lane and revs up pretty well as it comes off of the pattern. A major difference from my Ravage that has a 49 deg. x 78 deg. layout.

i cant wait to drill mine up. i have to wait a week or so though. i wonder how many people are going to confuse the archon for an ebonite maxim spare ball. its going to be pretty funny when people a few lanes over spy on your gear. try to figure out what your throwing and then go by that maxim spare ball sitting in the pro shop for $60 and wonder why its not hooking like yours does.

# of bowling balls = too many
highest game = not high enough
league avg. = its getting there
tournaments won = let me get back to u on this one

Got mine yesterday. Funny that I placed 2 different orders, about 4-5 hours apart, but both balls were shipped together!
3.5" pin with 3.3oz of top, and 2.5" pin with 3.5oz of top. Guess I won't get too fancy with the layouts!

If I am not mistaken, the new Storm "ICE STORM" is going to have almost the same color scheme as the Archon, blue/white/black.
I think the woman that placed 2nd at the womens tournament last week was using the Ice Storm for her spare ball.
P.S. Sort of mad at myself now. I was up late the night the post was put up about the great deal on these balls, and I even had 2 in my basket, when I decided I didn't need a new ball. The next day I had changed my mind, but by then, it was too late and they were all gone.
