LevRG
« on: October 25, 2007, 08:18:05 AM »
Hi,

What is the basic difference in a LevRG with a pin that is either 0-1 or 1-2. The top weight can be whatever you would want.

Thank you

Nothing.  Depending on top weight, you may want to place the pin lower with the shorter pin to avoid excessive finger weight.  Probably nothing that can't be remedied with deeper finger or thumb holes, but maybe you don't want to do that (for whatever reason).  The LevRG is a very strongly asymmetric ball, even people who think the CG matters will concede that the MB is significantly more important on a ball like that.

Thanks SH

I asked because there are two balls listed on ebay one says pin 0-1 and one 1-2, and the ball 0-1 is cheaper. You can ask for Top Weight so its just the pin that is different.

Thanks again

The 0-1" is probably a blem.  If you get that, request lower top weight, 1-2oz at most if you can.  That will give your driller the flexibility to place the pin where he wants.

shelley is correct, if you are going to purchase the 0-1" pins then request low top weight.  But I would spend the extra $15 and get the 1-2" pins. It will at least give your driller more options.  You can't go wrong with a $200-$220 ball at $103.70 shipped.  Actually I just purchased one 5 minutes ago

If you go pin under drilling and get under 3 oz of top it will be fine, i am going 4 1/2 pin under ring i will bet it is super strong.

It is going to be rolly anyway because of the cover, so to me it is no biggy that it is 0-1 for me pin in balls still rev up hard with the 4 1/2 drilling and the mb in the assymetrical flip drill position.

I got it drilled 4 1/2 pin to pap and mb 5 1/2 this ball flat outhooks anything else i own. It is stronger than the Resurgence upfront and out hooks it in the backend, amazing ball for 88.95 shipped on ebay.

I would say to pickup one of these deals before they go away, ball has roll, hook and hit in oil. Until the next greatest latest comes around this will be the king of hooking power in oil.

The taller the pin from what I understand is that it has more backend. Seeing to that the LevRG is an oil ball that needs to roll early the pin doesn't matter that much just as long as you have a good driller.

I must say that I love this ball. Even though I like the AR this ball is my go to ball. And you can't beat the way MoRich balls hit, light or heavy.
