Post by: abrown on December 14, 2007, 06:05:37 AM
hello I'm a med speed and revs. i can play up the boards or move inside and swing the ball i use the sarge grip. I've tried lots of balls for higher volumes of oil but have recently decided to go with morich and thought i would ask your opinion currently i have the n'sane with a control drilling and a awsome finish with a stronger drilling

Awesome Revs with same surface is stronger than the hook...

Invalid.

You cannot specify the same ball at the same surface for every/any player. You would be ignoring about 29 different relevant factors!

But if the same player thew the REVS and the HOOK both at 500, the REVS would be stronger. I think that is all Strapper is trying to say in his post.

I just want to clarify something.  In the thread title, you say "long" patterns.  In the body of the thread, you say "heavy volume" patterns.  Is it one or the other, or both?  That can make a huge difference on what ball you need to be using.  For example, on a heavier volume, you need the ball to get into its roll earlier (i.e. a fairly dull Awesome Hook or Awesome Revs).  However, on a lighter volume longer pattern, you need to get the ball to generate entry angle to the pocket, which can in some circumstances mean you need a strong pearl with a moderate surface on it (i.e. Nsane LevRG)

What about the LevRG?  How does this compare to the Awesome Hook in overall hook, and where does it hook?  It hasn't been mentioned once here.

Please re-read,MORE SLOWLY. I was NOT referring to Strapper at all. He and I agree on about 95% of everything. I quoted whom I was criticizing.
