What finish do you have your Awesome Flip at? I have mine currently @ 1000 Abralon + compound finish, close to OOB? I was thinking of trying it 2000 0r 4000 + polish. How flippy do you think the Flip can get?

I have always kept mine at BOX  finish. i can't imagine why anyone would need anymore flip out of it. I couldn't even venture a guess.

2000 grit.
but mine doesn't really flip or do much of anything...
i use it solely in one house for the first game only, which plays for quite a lot of hook until the oil carries down.

I tried mine in box, at 2000 dull, and at 2000 polished. The dull ball was too early. Both the polished finishes work great on fresh oil although the carry goes away with carrydown.

Not the Flip, but S&A which is almost the same ball:
OOB it eracted best, then I tried 4.000 Abralon which was a tad earlier and handled more oil, then 2.000 Abralon what amde the ball hook very early and handle higher oil volume.
I also tried Rough Buff on 320 grit (close to OOB) and Finesse-It II on 4.000 Abralon, what gave the ball very good length (but left it less snappy as expected). All in all I found that the ball would react strongly even to minor surface changes.
