Craze first thoughts.
« on: January 16, 2010, 05:36:02 AM »
I drilled up a craze the other day for league. Control Layout, pin is next to the fingers, MB below and right of thumb, Pin to PAP is around 4 inches, I will get exact specs from my pro shop guy Monday or Tuesday sorry!

T&O Lanes: Guardian for 20 feet then old wood after that, incredibly quick backends. In practice I found a groove with Craze, had a good luck when we started the first game. Playing about 16 out 7-8. Ball read the  lane around 45 feet and made strong continuous move through the pins, Nice power in the pocket. Once the carry down started I struggled however, had a hard time getting the ball to read put more hand in it and got a little better look.

THOUGHTS/CONSIDERATIONS: I maybe could have drilled it stronger, however I like that I have a ball that will handle wild backends, it will be a great ball on a used up surface, on Viper and Cheetah it will allow to play more inside where m comfort zone is rather than moving out where I am not as effective. The Craze had great power in the pocket like all MoRich balls do just ripped the rack apart the first game especially when it had the clean backends and friction late on the lane.

OVERALL:Nice ball as stated wish it was a touch stronger, but that is my fault not using a stronger drill pattern it has NOTHING to do with the ball. Carry is good, reaction is good when used on the proper conditions nothing else can be asked of the ball.

The LevRG line may not have been very good for me, But after trying the Craze I may have to drill up a Mania and use a stronger drill pattern and open a lane up with a MoRich ball again.
