LevRG layout help
« on: December 29, 2007, 02:25:50 PM »
I am getting a LevRG with 2-3" pin and 2.6 tw with the cg to the left 1/2". I am planning on using it specifically for the longer PBA patterns like the shark and the Scorpion. I am low revs/ med speed. Not sure how I am going to lay it out, so any suggestions are appreciated.

Know your specifics like pap, axis tilt, and axis rotation? Need to know more about you to be able to lay out your ball effectively.

Duh... Should have known to post that info...

PAP is 5"
Med track
Axis Rotation is about 30deg
Not sure about axis tilt.

Ok, so you are mildly speed dominant looking for a layout for the longer oil patterns. If you are familiar with the Dual Angle layout technique use a 10* first angle possibly 4 inch pin to pap, and then a 20* second angle (maybe with a hole down your VAL). This should get the ball stand up when it sees friction, which is usually needed for the longer oil patterns. Basically that layouts allows for the quickest transition from hook to roll if I have all my info correct. Hope that helps.
