Title: Ravage, Part II
Post by: agroves on June 22, 2004, 08:24:34 AM
Well, I went in to throw a couple of more games with the Ravage today.  The pattern last weekend was blown-up with quite a bit of carrydown.  They reoiled last night for league, so they were still pretty fresh after three games of a mixed league.

The Ravage was more angular than I first thought.  It doesn't snap but definitely has a defined move.  This was also the first time I was able to line up with the Time Zone and Ravage.  I was standing for boards further left with the TZ than the Ravage.  Both worked well, 269 with the TZ, 223 with the Ravage.

I moved right, uncupped my wrist and played straighter as well.  It seems to work better playing up the boards, just as I was playing last Saturday.

Overall, it is weaker than the TZ and stronger than my Inferno.  There is definitely a place in the bag for this one.

I tried the new Grip-loc system with this ball, the sleeve came out and took a chunk out of the ball, next to the thumb hole, when it hit the lane.  I don't if I am getting a new ball out of the deal or not.
