What to expect from: Ravage VI and Complete Annihilation II
« on: September 23, 2007, 02:48:19 PM »
Just recieved two of these blank, with perfect specs:

Ravage VI - 3.5-4 in. Pin - 3.1 oz TW - 15 lbs. 3oz

Complete Annihilation - 3-4 in. Pin - 3.0 oz TW - 15 lbs. 4 oz.

How should I drill, and what should I expect? I'm going pin over ring or bridge on both, probably about 5 to 5 on the drill.

17-19 MPH - 380+ Revs.. What to expect?

Knock the polish off the Ravage.  Surface is way to smooth to carry if you have any ball speed.  I had mine drilled pin under the ring, and it would skate a little too much for my tastes.  I took the surface to 1000, cover barely shows any signs that you have altered it.  Not a bad ball once I got the surface where I wanted.

The Ravage was great Box finish for me though I had the pin about aninch left of my fingers with the Mass Bias UNDER my thumb. ball got down the lane and had nice strong move really controlable with this setup.

Probably due to my excessive speed, 21+. Pinged a lot of tens until I played with the cover.

Yeah, I am a fairly high revved, high speed type of guy. I can get the ball down the lane, I was just looking for some balls I could swing fairly easily.

The Complete Annhilation I have never throwen but reading about that one sounds like it is about the same as the Total Annhilation here in the U.S. and that thing can be swung on anything as long as it is not complete soup. Pardon the pun.
