How many games do you have on the ball? Many people expect things out of the box to be magic and when it isn't give up on it. Wait till you have at least ten or more games in to see what it does. I've had this happen with many bowling balls and some just take a few games to get going, where others don't.

Andrew,
Your ball speed is a LOT higher than bowler851's.
Plus how heavy was that oil: medium, medium-heavy, heavy?
Everybody's "fresh" is different.
Did you give Mo the 19-20 mph at the heads speed that's in your profile?
I suspect you need a smaller VAL angle given your results so far. Smaller VAL angle gives a faster response once it hits dry, according the "Mo".
Also have you reported these results back to Mo yet?
(Not sure if you went over to http://forum.bowlingchat.net/index.php to talk to Mo.)

I used 1000 paper(not p rated), which is pretty close to P2000.
I'm positive it isn't rolling out. Like I said, the OOB condition didn't look like 4000 to me. It looked like it was lightly polished. If you compare it to say a 4000 Abralon hammer/ebo ball, there was a considerable difference. Once sanded, it was much better. Now, maybe I'll take it back up to P4000 and see what it does. Plenty of oil around these parts tho.
FWIW and IMO, the 2nd Dimension is a strong ball. It moves quite a bit considering I have it polished.

Drilled up a NSane Levrg...
55 x 4 1/4 x 40
P3 hole--1" x 3" deep
(Layout suggested by Mo himself)
I threw a handful of shots on a basically fresh house pattern last night and it was a bullet. I tried to read the lane, transitioned and then just basically stopped. I moved right and further right with little to no luck, did find something around 8 board at the arrows/8 board at the BP.
Back to the spinner with a 1000 grit paper, the ball was much better but not quite what I was expecting. I was able to go 2 and 1 deeper and get a earlier read and SOME continuation out of the ball. If I missed alittle right it was a weak 10 every time, but that beats the bucket when missing right from 8 board.
How weak/strong is the cover on this ball? I assume it is a Bwick formulation of some kind.....??? I didn''t expect a "first ball out of the bag", but expected to see some motion on the backend.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
