Title: Alpha Jackal
Post by: cyafromfla on January 08, 2020, 01:02:15 PM

This ball is the newest introduction into the Jackal line of MOTIV bowling balls. The MOTIV Alpha Jackal features the Coercion HV3 Solid Reactive cover stock, which is an updated, stronger, solid reactive cover to that which was on the Jackal ghost, combined with the Predator V2 weight block. This asymmetric weight block driving the Alpha Jackal boasts a very low RG and loads of differential.  This enables you to maximize both revs and track flare.

It will be a great fit in your bag on heavy or long oil patterns. I have the used Alpha Jackal on high to medium volume sports patterns, as well as on your typical house shots. It's strong and continuous enough to handle the sports patterns and recovers on a house pattern from almost anywhere on the lane.  The traction that this ball provides makes it more forgiving on heavy oil patterns than other balls that may slip past your breakpoint.

My Alpha Jackal is laid out with the pin my in ringer finger, CG shifted right, MB about 2” right and below the thumb with no extra hole. Since I started using this ball it is quickly becoming one of my favorites. This ball allows me to create hook and continuation when other balls just won’t get it done.  It’s the BIG ball that just doesn’t quit. I have found it to be very versatile, have the ability to generate powerful angles in high volume environments and be continuous beyond belief.  MOTIV has hit another Home Run out of the park..

The layout I used on the Alpha Jackal is 65-5-30. I’ve never been a big fan of asymmetrical bowling balls but this one I’m a huge fan of. Normally I have problems with asymmetrical balls rolling out and stopping but not with this ball. This ball reads the middle part of the lane perfectly and still continues through the pins. I will be using this ball a lot to start tournaments on longer patterns and some medium patterns when there is enough volume. This is definitely one of my favorite balls in my bag.
