Review:
The New Motiv Tag is super clean through the front with a strong flip when it encounters friction.  The Tag provides a reaction that I have been wanting for a while now. This “like some other Motiv offerings” is a new animal. If I had to pigeon hole this ball I would say it hooks less than the Rage but much more than the Apex.  I know this is a large gap but the Tag is just that versatile. The Tag will hook quite a bit when it hits the dry and for me is the most angular ball Motiv has. I would rate it stronger than the Motiv Ball Guide on a house shot. We have drilled a good bit of Tags now and the carry percent is fantastic, most likely due to the increased entry angle. The Tag carries well when playing deeper lines and does not seem to have weak corner pin issues. The only time we struggled with the Tag was on a flat heavy oil pattern. The Tag just was a little too long. No worries, Motiv has a ton of balls for that pattern.  I let a few thumb less and high rev bowlers try my Tag and the result was just unfair. They cleared the heads with ease and the backend was nothing less than explosive! These bowlers got easy length with a devastating hit. I think high medium and high rev bowlers will have a winner with the Tag.
If you like to play deeper lines this is your ball.
Motiv technology and innovation is just exploding and the new use of chemicals in the cover stocks have given Motiv the ability to be on the cutting edge of ball motion. I have some tournaments coming up and you can bet I will have a “Tag in the Bag.”

Summary:
The Tag provides easy length with a very angular backend.
This is a great choice when playing inside lines.
The higher entry angle creates great pin carry.
The Tag pushes cover stock technology again.
