Title: Carbide Tank
Post by: BallReviews-scodaddy21 on February 10, 2023, 09:48:04 AM
Following the success of the Blue Tank Motiv went back to the drawing board to develop a ball that would be even stronger. The Tour Edition Motiv Carbide Tank upper-mid performance bowling ball is armored in the Frixion M4 Solid MCP which is the strongest Microcell Polymer coverstock so far. This coverstock mimics reactive resin more than traditional urethane. This coverstock helps offer a smooth motion on the heavy oil seen on today's competitive bowling lanes. This bowling ball has a 1000-grit finish that uses a technology that resists lane shine and holds on to the out-of-the-box dull sanded finish longer. The Carbide Tank uses the same symmetric Gear core as the ever-popular Venom Shock. This core has a low RG and moderate differential that assist in reducing track flare and help the ball to rev up faster and dig into the oil early.

Core: Gear

Type: Symmetrical

Coverstock: Frixion M4 Solid MCP

Box Finish: 1000 Grit LSS

Layout: 45x 4 ½ x 70

Strengths

Microcell Polymer Frixion M4 Solid at 1000 grit box finish is even at the breakpoint, it offers much more ball motion than what Purple Tank offered.

The ball motion of Carbide Tank is very early and continuous, it has more backend to that of Purple and Blue Tank.

Weaknesses

I wasn’t successful using Carbide tank on high friction patterns as it read the land too early for my liking.

Overall Summary

The Carbide Tank provides more complete ball motion than any previous Tank, if you missed the motion you saw out of Tank Blitz and you want a bigger motion I
encourage you to take a look at Carbide Tank

Your game will thank you for it.

This ball is CRAZY good! EASILY the best MicroCell Polymer ball to ever come out! The Carbide Tank features the Gear core, most popular in the Venom Shock and the Tank Blitz. It also features the brand new Frixion M4 cover, which just brings MCP to a whole new level! This ball grabs oil really well, is super smooth off the spot, and has so much continuation downlane with so much energy in the pocket, it is hard to believe this ball is MCP!
